Covid has impacted our lives in a negative way because it has caused us to transition into a sedentary lifestyle. Transitioning to a sedentary lifestyle has a negative impact on our health down the road.

This page is dedicated to sedentary behaviors for students during the lockdown period of COVID-19. Having a sedentary lifestyle is connected with numerous negative effects on our health. Whether it is muscular, cardiovascular, metabolic, or endocrine levels, being in a sedentary lifestyle for a long period of time can also affect our psychological well-being. Some effects of a sedentary lifestyle would be the reduction of muscle insulin sensitivity, changes in our body's composition, and anything that may occur after limited periods of inactivity. We as college students are more susceptible to the effects of unhealthy sedentary and dietary habits in the non-pandemic period just imagine how it could get during the pandemic experts. We’re a family of like-minded people, using our passion and our skills to make a difference.
Obesity and activities before Covid 19
A sedentary lifestyle has negative effects on our health. In an article about obesity and activities it states that ““Stay-at-home” has been ordered by many governments around the world...containing the spread of COVID-19, which, may have changed activity patterns and consequently weight status among people at all ages." Meaning because of Covid we had to be on lockdown and arent able to do any athletic activities that helped us control our body weight. Another fact in the article caught my attention were it states that “Limited studies have shown how the youth's obesity and activity patterns have been changed by COVID-19"
